In 2023, in support of improving early childhood education infrastructure, SOCAR and its partners in the South Caucasus Pipeline Company (SCPC) funded the full renovation of Kindergarten No. 1 in Garabork village, Ujar region. Implemented in close cooperation with local authorities and the community, the project upgraded both the building’s structure and its facilities, including roof replacement, façade and interior repairs, replacement of windows and doors, renewal of floors and ceilings, installation of new electrical wiring and lighting fixtures, refurbishment of sanitary facilities, procurement of new furniture and equipment, and the construction of a new outdoor playground.
The renovation created a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for 35 children, ensuring access to quality preschool education in conditions that meet modern safety and developmental standards. By investing in educational infrastructure, the project contributed to stronger communities and equal learning opportunities for children in rural Azerbaijan.
